Province of Aurora will celebrate its 34th Foundation Anniversary as an independent province and at the same time commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon.
Province of Aurora will be celebrating from 7th to 19th of February its 34th Foundation Anniversary as an independent province, separate and distinct from the Province of Quezon.
This week-long celebration culminates in the commemoration of the 125th Birth Anniversary of Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon, wife of Commonwealth President Manuel Luis Quezon and in whose honor the Province of Aurora was named.
This year’s over-all theme draws inspiration from the Gospel of St. Mark 4:26-29 that relates to the parable of seed, “The Bean Cast: Nurturing HEALTH upon the Soil of Good Governance”. HEALTH is an acronym and is likened to the bean cast upon the soil. It refers to the 6-point integrated development agenda espoused for about 9 years by the Provincial Government of Aurora to focus local service delivery mechanism in the areas of Health, Education, Agriculture, Livelihood, Tourism and environment management, and Human development. HEALTH sprouts and grows as local government praxis in the Province of Aurora to achieve sustainable development and better quality of life within the auspices of good governance.
