The Aurorans' innate creativity and ingenuity is evident in its major cottage industry- sabutan weaving.Local artisans create bags, mats, hats and other handicrafts from the local pandan variety valued from its antural luster and durability. The province's sabutan products are now being exported to major fashion houses and department stores accross the globe.

The bounties of land and se define Aurora's simple yet flavorful cuisine. Memorable are homegrown favorites such as ginataang pako na may hipon (fiddlehead ferns and shrimps in coconut milk), sinigang na buting sa aduas (turban shellfish in aduas broth), chitcharong kibit (chiton cracklings) and tapang-usa (smoke-dried deer meat). Suman, a delectable treat made from glutinuos rice, sugar and coconut milk, is a standard fiesta fare and favorite pasalubong.

The enduring legacy of Christian faith faith can be seen in Aurora with the staging of Komedya de Baler,a local depiction of the war between the Moros and the Christian characterized by elaborate costumes and heart-stoppingswordplay. Come the Lenten season, the penitensiya remains a major religious spectacle where flagellants join the Good Friday procession to shor respect to the Santo Entierro.
